BEIJING (Kashmir English): Oppo is preparing its newest foldable smartphone, Find N5, for a debut in China on February 20 before a global release as OnePlus Open 2.
Thanks to some released images from Evan Blass, we can now truly see what this device will look like. One of the highlights of the Oppo Find N5 is how thin the phone is; it only measures 4.2mm at unfolded, making it the world’s thinnest foldable phone.
The phone will be made available in three colors: Purple (Vegan Leather), White, and Black. The camera island is similar to that on the OnePlus 13, housing a triple-camera module dressed in Hasselblad branding, and an anticipated large 8-inch LTPO OLED primary display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate will afford a smooth experience.
Oppo is also now taking the chance to reduce the mechanics of the foldable phone so that there is less visibility of a crease along the screen for better user experience.
Performance and Hardware
Besides the inner display, the Find N5 will also pack a 6.4-inch cover display that should be small yet very functional. The phone may sport Snapdragon 8 Elite as its chip along with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage for super-fast performance on the run.
Worse case, expect a camera system consisting of three 50MP sensors working as wide, telephoto, and ultrawide, with Hasselblad tuning promising high-quality imaging and improvements in color reproduction.
Battery and Durability
Reports suggest the device will also likely have a 5,600mAh battery with 80W wired charging support for fast charge and long-lasting battery functionality, much059 in the interest of foldable phones.
The device will feature IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water protection ratings, which would enhance its durability and water exposure protection. Through its design, powerful hardware, and capabilities, Find N5 is ready for competition in the foldable market.
Oppo will officially announce the device in China on February 20, which is most likely going to be branded OnePlus Open 2 for other markets after the announcement, making it an exciting prospect for tech enthusiasts and users alike.
