For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the gold prices have surged over 300,000 with an increase of Rs 1,346, raising the prices of pure gold to Rs 300,346 per tola as reported by the All Pakistan Gems Jewellers Traders and Exporters Association.
The price of 10 grams of pure gold was also raised by Rs 1,154 and stood at Rs 257,241. The 10-gram price of 22-karat gold rose high at Rs 235,812.
The price of silver also rose by Rs 51 per tola, now at Rs 3,378, while it was up by Rs 44 for 10 grams, to reach Rs 2,896. The increase in prices of gold and silver in Pakistan is based on the international market price setting since gold gained $10 per ounce and stands at $2,869.
Such a surge may hurt gold demand in the country, especially among jewelry manufacturers who use it as a raw metal. The All-Pakistan Gems Jewellers Traders and Exporters Association keeps itself abreast of gold and silver trading continuously, always advising traders and consumers in that trade.
