Azad Kashmir Leaders meet
During their discussion, Parvez Ahmed Shah, Samia Sajid, and Syed Manzoor Ahmed Shah emphasised the importance of February 5th, Kashmir Solidarity Day, in the Kashmir freedom movement. They expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the people of Pakistan for their ongoing moral, political, and diplomatic support to Kashmiris. They called on people from all political and social backgrounds to participate in the public gathering planned for Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The leaders further highlighted that the Indian government is growing increasingly nervous about the Kashmir issue. They noted that India’s state and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration have become a threat to humanity. Despite the imprisonment of freedom movement leaders and Hurriyat leaders, they asserted that India is mistaken if it believes such actions can stop the struggle. The freedom movement will continue, and such measures will not suppress it.
They also emphasised the courage and determination of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who are ready to confront Narendra Modi and his army in the pursuit of freedom. The soldiers stationed along the Line of Control (LoC), hailing from all four provinces of Pakistan, have sacrificed their lives to ensure the freedom and security of Azad Kashmir. They pointed out that some people fail to distinguish between the protectors and the occupiers. It must be made clear that modern-day wars are not fought on borders but through narratives. And that their position remains firm.
They reaffirmed their unwavering connection to Pakistan, saying, “Pakistan is ours, and we are Pakistanis—there is no doubt about this.” They called for unity and a unified narrative that prioritises freedom and the right to self-determination. They reminded that the UN Charter and international law guarantee Kashmiris the right to fight for their freedom.
The leaders also sent a clear message to the Indian government and expressed their stance that no matter how many Kashmiris they martyr or what oppressive laws they impose, India will face defeat in occupied Kashmir. They concluded by reminding everyone that the Kashmir issue remains an unresolved part of Pakistan’s creation and the Two-Nation Theory. Since 1947, we have fought for a peaceful resolution, and one day, Kashmir will be free. We will return to occupied Kashmir to unite with our ancestors.
